Volunteer FAQ
What are the requirements to volunteer?
1. Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. (If applicable, younger individuals may volunteer with parental consent or under adult supervision.)
2. Application Process: All potential volunteers must complete a volunteer application form, which includes personal information, areas of interest, and availability.
3. Background Check: A criminal background check is required for all volunteers to ensure a safe environment for our clients and community. Volunteers will need to provide consent for this check.
4. Orientation and Training: Volunteers must attend an orientation session and complete any necessary training programs relevant to their roles.
5. Commitment to Mission: Volunteers should demonstrate a genuine interest in the missions and values of the nonprofit organization.
6. References: Volunteers are required to provide at least two personal or professional references.
7. Skills and Qualifications: Some positions may require specific skills or qualifications (e.g., experience in social services, education, or administration).
8. Reliability and Punctuality: Volunteers must commit to regular attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
9. Code of Conduct: Volunteers are expected to adhere to the organization’s code of conduct, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and teamwork.
10. Health and Safety Compliance: Volunteers must comply with any health and safety regulations set by the organization, which may include training on emergency procedures.

What will my time commitment be?
That is completely up to you! We'd love to have you volunteer with us for as much as you are able. We do ask that if you commit to a time that you follow through with that commitment.
Can kids volunteer?
We prefer our volunteers to be over the age of 18 but are happy to have kids come with their parents to help out and learn more about the broadcasting industry. Children under the age of 18 must have parental consent and supervision.
